What the website collects
The Observer Method does not currently use a visitor account system, advertising tracker or dedicated analytics service.
You can read the website without directly giving The Observer Method your name or email address. If you choose to join the Occasional Letter, the signup form collects the email address you provide.
When you write
If you send an email, the information you choose to include—such as your name, email address and message—will be used to read and respond to your correspondence.
Please share only what you are comfortable sending by email.
The Occasional Letter
If you join the Occasional Letter, your email address and subscription status will be handled by MailerLite, the email-list provider used to manage confirmations and deliver letters.
A confirmation email is sent before the subscription becomes active. You can leave at any time using the unsubscribe link in a letter or by writing to welcome@theobservermethod.com.au.
Website delivery
The services used to host the website and operate the signup form may process standard technical information needed to provide and protect those services. This can include an internet address, browser information and the time of a request.
Those services may process information outside Australia. The locations involved depend on the providers used to host the website and email.
Use, sharing and retention
Personal information will not be sold or rented. It may be handled by service providers only where needed to host the website, deliver email or support correspondence.
Correspondence will be kept only for as long as it remains useful or is reasonably required. Mailing-list information is kept while a subscription remains active and may be retained for a reasonable period afterward where needed to honour an unsubscribe request or meet legal obligations.
Your choices
You may ask what personal information is held about you, request a correction or ask for deletion where appropriate.
You may also raise a privacy question or concern. Write to admin@theobservermethod.com.au and the matter will be considered and answered directly.
Changes to this notice
This page will be updated if the website begins using analytics or another service that changes how personal information is handled.
